Connect Open Bulk Editor to Shopify
Save more than one Shopify store locally, then choose and verify the store you want before a task runs.
Supported credentials
Admin API Token
Enter the store domain and Admin API Token. The token is stored in the local application configuration with device-related encryption when the cryptography dependency is available.
Client ID and Client Secret
If you do not have a direct token, enter the Client ID and Client Secret created for the store app. Both values are required for this flow.
API version
The current default is 2026-04. A preview is tied to the API version. Changing the version makes the old preview unusable.
Shopify scopes
The exact scopes depend on the task. Catalog reads use read_products. Product writes use write_products. Inventory changes use write_inventory. Order analysis uses read_orders. YouTube migration also needs file access.
Store selection
Saved stores appear in a dropdown, but the app does not auto-fill one on startup. Select the store, verify the domain, then test the connection. A backup from another store is blocked in the recovery center.
Credential hygiene
- Give the app only the scopes needed for the workflows you use.
- Do not paste tokens into support email, screenshots, or logs.
- Delete a saved store from the app when the connection is no longer needed.
- Rotate credentials in Shopify if you believe a secret has been exposed.
