Product and catalog use cases

Common Shopify bulk editing jobs

See how Open Bulk Editor handles product prices, descriptions, tags, variants, inventory, metafields, CSV updates, catalog checks, and multi-store work.

01

Bulk edit Shopify prices and compare-at prices

Find products by collection, tag, price, inventory, or another filter. Set prices, apply a fixed or percentage change, round decimals, or set a price ending such as .99. The current version does not schedule future sales.

02

Bulk edit product descriptions and SEO fields

Update product descriptions, SEO titles, SEO descriptions, handles, and image ALT text. Templates and replacement rules use existing product data; the app does not generate copy with AI.

03

Update inventory at one location

Work at a selected location, find low or zero stock, then set, increase, or reduce absolute inventory values.

04

Update existing products from CSV

Map supplier columns to existing products and variants. Blank cells keep current Shopify values, and duplicate SKU matches are blocked.

05

Bulk edit tags and metafields

Add, remove, replace, clear, or deduplicate tags. Set or clear product and variant metafields by namespace, key, type, and value.

06

Prepare an ad feed

Find qualifying best sellers, net refunds when requested, and export sold variants with IDs and images for item-level feed work.

07

Manage client stores

Save several store connections locally, actively choose the current store, and keep backups tied to the store that created them.

08

Rename or delete variant options

Preview an option rename across matched products. The separate delete flow requires an explicit strategy because deleting an option can also delete variants.

09

Run a Shopify catalog health check

Run nine read-only Store Health checks and export a cleanup list before deciding which fields to edit.

Focused on Shopify catalog operations

Open Bulk Editor handles catalog editing, read-only analysis, CSV workflows, and recovery around Shopify product data. It does not manage fulfillment, customer service, accounting, or ERP workflows.

Check the workflow before connecting a production store

The feature pages and documentation explain the matching rules, preview, backup behavior, and recovery limits.
