About Open Bulk Editor
Why I built Open Bulk Editor for Shopify
I built this independent desktop tool for Windows after running into the same catalog jobs in my own Shopify store: finding the right products, reviewing bulk changes, and keeping a recovery path.
I run a Shopify store myself. The same jobs kept coming back: finding the right products, updating many fields, cleaning CSV data, checking catalog quality, and worrying about what would happen if a large edit went wrong. I built Open Bulk Editor to solve those problems in the way I wanted to work: locally, with a preview and a recovery path.
Why local
Open Bulk Editor does not host a second copy of your Shopify catalog. The Windows app connects directly to the Shopify Admin API, and credentials, previews, templates, backups, logs, and history stay on your computer.
Why preview and recovery come first
A bulk action can be correct in theory and wrong for the selected products. The product is designed around narrowing the scope, showing the final values, binding the preview, and saving originals before a recoverable write.
How it will improve
I will keep using the product in my own store and improve it from real work. Customer feedback will shape the next fixes and features, especially when several merchants run into the same problem.
Independent from Shopify
Open Bulk Editor is not created by, affiliated with, or endorsed by Shopify Inc. Shopify remains responsible for its platform, API, plans, permissions, and service availability.
